This is a juvenile (30 cm total length) of the Baja California Rattlesnake (Crotalus enyo). Is one of the most beautifull rattlesnakes. Is endemic to Bja California Peninsula extends from the center of Baja California to the Cape region at south.
This specie is active year-round primordially in the rainy season. They take refuge under shrubs and trunks of dead cardons. They feed mainly on small mammals and lizards. |
