Desert Iguana
Dipsosaurus dorsalis

This lizard is founded in the Mojave and Sonoran Deserts of the western USA and Northwestern Mexico. Is a moderate size (15cm) in total lenght. Is active in the hottest period of the year, is common across the dirty roads. Feeding on insects.

The individual in the picture it is a courious juvenile that approach to me in the morning... whyle I was resting of the hot of the day.

Hola Victor,
you captured this lizard from a nice point of view and achieved a superb portrait. You focused well on the face and show it with excellent sharpness. Colours are pleasant and natural.

Hi Vic

Excellent capture of this little desert dweller. I have never seen or heard of this species before so thanks for the introduction.

The composition is fabulous with good proportions and the iguana placed on the 1/3 vertical axis of the frame. The BG is well OOF and aids to enhance the subject. The colours are well balanced and very natural. The sharp details gives us a good look at the beautiful features of this reptile.
