This picture was taken on the same kayaking trip as my previous two submissions, and of the same small island. I think that this is a male as it's not brooding, and this was the time of year that the females were brooding their nests.
Santispac is located far inside Bahia Concepcion, a large bay in the Sea of Cortez, so the water here is very calm. |

Good shot, David. Good composition and detail. The head is a bit sharp, but with the dark BG there it is a difficult shot. Please supply camera settings, it helps a lot when looking at the picture.
