Scientific Name: Actinote Guatemalena Bates

Diagnóstic Description:
Amplitude eave: Male of 26 to 30 mm Female of 28 to 33 mm. Similar sexes. The wings are of clear yellow color.
The apex is ample of black color. The subapicales cells are of clear yellow color. The fine venación and lines are of black color.



Habitat : Edges of forest, canopy, margins of gorges, primary and secondary bordered ways of forest, and in potreros.


Service Life:
Larva in fifth stage: capsule of the head of black color, smooth, bright. Body of dark brown color, with six rows of thorns of dark brown color, legs with yellowish bases


Feeding: The adults visit the flowers of Eupatorium sp., Senecio sp., lobata Neurolaena (Asteraceae).





Relations:
Hospedera plant: Senecio sp. (Asteraceae). In epífito shrub with white leaves by envés and yellow flowers.


Distribution: From Guatemala to Costa Rica.

Hi Ricardo, this brown Actinote Guatemalena is nice and sharp. His body looks a little soft but he has quite pretty tones on his wings. Well shown, thank you
