Diagnóstic Description:
Amplitude eave: male of 43 to 48 mm, female of 52 to 56 mm.

Males: in the dorsal surface they present/display a yellow strip cross-sectional orange that begins in the costal margin over the discal cell and finishes in thin and acute form in the winch. In the later wing, in the On guard marginal apex, orange are two extended spots of yellow color. The edge of this wing is indented.
Females: in the previous wing they present/display a cross-sectional broadband of white color that begins in the costal margin over the discal cell and finishes in the winch. In the distal margin a pair of teeth. The margin of the strongly indented later wing.



Habitat: Edges of forest, clear, margins of gorges, rivers and left lumber trails


Service life:
Larva in first stages: capsule of the head of black color with a yellow line in the forehead. Body of green color with a dorsal yellow line that crosses all the segments of the body. Bifid tail of green color (DeVries, 1987).

Larva in fifth stage: capsule of the head with four epicraniales horns of orange color with apexes of black color. Both horns of the center in the bases present/display points of black color. There are four red strips in the face. Jaws dark coffee. Dark green body, on one lines wide ridge of yellow color. Bifid tail with black lines to the sides.


Feeding: They visit fruits in decomposition.


Relations : Hospedera plant of the Arecaceae family.


Distribution: Of Mexico to the base of Amazon.
