I found this in a beach in Tabasco, Mexican Gulf.
I don't really known what is it. It looks like the skeleton of a starfish but I'm not sure...
but I'm sure that some treknature fotographer will know what is it!!!

It is a Sand Dollar...I'M from Magalen Islands ans we find a lot over here on the beach...really nice! Congratulations!
Cool..... A sand Dollar. we have them around here but they dont have holes in them

Hi Marion
It is a Sand Dollar:
the fragile disk is the skeleton or "test" of a marine animal. Sand dollars are from the class of marine animals known as Echinoids, spiny skinned creatures. Their relations include the sea lily, the sea cucumber, the star fish and the sea urchin.
Nice picture of one. I will give you some points tomorrow. All out today.
