This is a wonderful shot my Friend. I love the way you've captured the details of this little guy. The plumage detail, colors, background and composition are all top notch - as usual I might add :)
Your note is interesting as well. I would be inclined to think that marital problems were most likely the cause of this disturbance. I can definitely see the disappointment on the face of this one. Very well captured Luis. TFS.

Oh, he's mad, for sure! Actually, when I saw this, I laughed. I am reminded of myself when I miss a great photo opportunity. Though I don't notice it myself, my friends say I walk around the rest of the day with my shoulders hunched and wear a glare that warns them to back off until I become human again. :)

Seriously, I love the attitude of this hummer - it shows what I already know: they have emotions just like the rest of us, and talk about attitude - this one is filled with it - and that's part of what makes this capture amusing.

Terrific DOF and POV. Great framing and composition. As I said, I saw this and laughed - and who says birds are dumb? I've heard that so many times...

Ah, the unknowing walk by some of the best moments completely unaware of the fun, education, and interaction that surround them. I pity them. How fortunate to see and capture this - thanks for posting.

I think those tiny birds are like tiny dogs, mean (!) and very territorial, scared of everything so fighting anything! They do the same here, they always seem to fight for the feeders, the flowers, their "sustenance" territory. This is a beautiful picture, Luis, the bird is a gem with the fantastic iridescent green of its plumage that you captured. The smooth background adds a green on green tonality to this little jewel. Thank you!

Wonderful capture of the humming bird in great colours ..I have always admired these cute little birdies and their posts by several photographers in TN. I dont think we have them here in India.But i would love to do a shot someday.

This is a beautiful one.Great colours and lighting...though i think you had a bit of difficulty in managing a sharp focus.I think they do move quite fast.But the capture is fine to look at in this post as the soft lighting shows how cosily the bird is perched.The muted environmnet adds to the focus on the bird.So the composition is quite balanced and the sharpness factor doesnt become a matter of concern.
Well done.
