That is a great POV of this snail.
I think that is his head, and I think it is looking at us!
Excellent exposure that brings out the colors on the shell,
as well as the moisture on the "foot".

A fantastic shot of this beautiful snail. The patterns and colors of the shell are wonderful. Fine details of the shell and of the exposed part of the snail. Shows up very well against the dark background. I have not seen a snail here in Tucson - perhaps I should look more closely.

There are an abundance of these in Mendocino County on the coast of California...way N of San Fran...and some folks sell them to the local collectors who them process and send to Japan....You would not believe how much...So much even I have forgotten....but seeing it in a flash photo as here only doubles my feelings against eating these..I see no reason..I do eat seafood such abalone...but not snails...very nice Luis!

Caracoles son comúnes pero muy raras en TN!
Esta toma es fantástica con muy alta calidad y la luz no es demasiado fuerte. Me gusta el POV tambien.

No podemos ver muchos "snails" no conozco la palabra en español) en TN, so es siempre interesante cuando alguien esta publicando une imagen de este animal. Los detalls sont perfectos, la composicion es hermosa, los colors son lindos y parecen naturales a pesar del flash. El fondo negro pone en valor al animal.

De las mejores fotos que he visto de un caracol.
No se si en Mexico, pero aqui esta especie nos la comemos, concretamente en esta ciudad es uno de los platos típicos e incluso celebramos una fiesta en su honor , de asistencia multitudinaria y declarada de interés Nacional.
