Damselfly Male.

Well, Here is the second photo of a Damselfly, now the Male. Both photos were taken in the same place and the same day.
I would like to thanks everyone for your kind and warm comments in My photos.

Damselflies undergo incomplete metamorphosis, with an aquatic nymph stage. The female lays eggs in water, sometimes in underwater vegetation, or high in trees in bromeliads and other water-filled cavities. Nymphs are carnivorous, feeding on daphnia, mosquito larvae, and various other small aquatic organisms. The gills of damselfly nymphs are large and external, resembling three fins at the end of the abdomen. After moulting several times, the winged adult emerges and eats flies, mosquitoes, and other small insects. Some of the larger tropical species are known to feed on spiders, hovering near the web and plucking the spider from its nest.

Saludos

Luis,
I really can't figure it out????
You always have GREAT CREATIONS.
What do you put in your morning coffee???
Wonderful details with EXCELLENT clarity.
Greetings from Mario in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

It is interesting to me...how something as complex as this and small enough can be caught by a lens...I know that I can get close in on some subjects, but these buzz around me as if a joke...so to catch one still on a perch has always fascinated me...and beyond that you have the neat lines of nature...but above all (for me) you have that special blue!
Bob

Beautiful and matching colors throughout your work, Luis.
Nicely done DOF and the lens provided a nice bokeh background wise.

Hola Luis,

Wonderful macro shot of the blue-colored damselfly! The sharpness is just ideal with wonderful POV and nice DOF. The eyes can be nicely seen with great clarity. The colors of the damselfly are soft and natural. The blurred BG is awesome. I like the position of the damselfly. Well done!

thanks and regards,

Tu estilo es evidente en esta toma y en la anterior que publicaste, con esa luz suave que parece ponga enharinados los colores dándoles unas toalidades suaves muy agradables.
Equilibrio del insecto y tb conseguido por el fotógrafo en el conjunto !
Saludos.
