| Palenque, located in southern Mexico, is a among the most impressive and well-excavated Mayan ruin sites in Mesoamerica. This well-camouflaged butterfly was perched at the edge of a 100-ft ledge near the top of Templo de la Cruz. |

Hi Mingfai,
Gorgeous butterfly. You acheived a great openwing POV, very good color and detail. I'd like to see this cropped for a closer view and improvement of the composition. From my perspective there is too much unnesasary space on the left and top. TFS
Richard
PS: I did a work shop showing a different crop, etc.
I love the textures you have captured in the stone and I like the cold whites and greys of the background. Very good focus and perfect amount of light. I think the amount of background you included is good as it gives a good contrast between the hard face of the rock and the delicate features of the butterfly. However, I thought the butterfly looked a bit dull (it probably looked like this in person) so to create more contrast from the background I did a workshop to increase saturation, just to brighten the butterfly up a bit. I hope you think it's ok! Happy new year,
Roxanne
