Black-headed Trogon (Trogon melanocephalus)

Here is another bird of the Yucatan, I had to crop and sharp this photo still it came out soft, hope you don't mind! I always wanted to see a Trogon and I finally saw it, it was the highlight of my day.

The Black-headed Trogon (Trogon melanocephalus) is a species of bird in the Trogonidae family. It is found in Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, and Nicaragua. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, and heavily degraded former forest.

Hi Everton,

If I were to see this Trogon it would be the highlight of my day too. He is a beauty. The face is wonderful with the white beak and eye circle. The yellow plumage and long tail are beautiful. I love the vertical composition.

very interesting colored species and nice eye contact with the subject. also the background with those leafs is nice.
but the focus is a little bit wrong. the branch is more clear then the bird
