In Xcaret Mayan Orchid Greenhouse you will have the opportunity to see 25 hybrid plants and 89 of the 105 species endemic to this Xcaret Mayan region.
Nowadays, more than 615 orchid species are endangered in Mexico. The main threat to these beautiful Xcaret Mayan Orchids is the loss of their natural habitat due to the destruction of forests for agricultural purposes.
Xcaret Mayan Orchid Greenhouse is proud to contribute to the reproduction and conservation of Xcaret Mayan orchid species as a means of preserving our rich Mayan heritage.
I am a newcomer in plants photography so all feedback are welcome :)
If anyone knows the name of this orchid - please let me know. Please see my other photographs about orchids. |
