This is adult in breeding plumage, another from beautiful Rocky Point.


Fun Fact:


These birds forage in flight or pick up objects while swimming, walking or wading. They mainly eat insects, fish and eggs. They also scavenge at garbage dumps or docks. They may follow plows in fields for insects stirred up by this activity.

Wonderful shot of this California Gull with very impressive sharpness and colours on its plumage. Superb light and exposure control and I like the pose you have captured it in. The rippled waters with the reflection looks fabulous. Excellent POV and composition. Kudos.

Nice scene and picture at whole. I think this is classic scene for swimming gull. Wonderful details of the bird and water surface, great DOF, lovely colours and excellent impressive sunlight which underlines all attractive details perfectly. Shot is framed very well too. My kind regards and TFS.
