Flight Encouraged

| I took this in Puerto Vallarta. I took a taxi with some others in our group to do a bit of shopping in town. We walked to the pier to see some of the locals fishing from the rocks. These birds seemed to be firmly planted on the statue but the statue seemed to be encouraging them to fly away. Not sure, but I was told they were boobies. |

What a big surprise opening the large picture. From the thumbnail I did not see the statue but thought the birds were sitting on a big branch. You are absolutely right - it really look like the statue is guiding them. Well seen and you did a great job by the picture which is not an easy one with the backlight - so well done too.

Oh I thought that must have been Lori!!:)
Nice shot Julie, the birds seem to be quite at home on the statue. Well captured.
I wondered where you took this photo until I read your note. This was the day I slept in until noon! I love the way the statue is guiding them to fly, and they seem to be totally ignoring her encouragement. Very nicely balanced and interesting photo.
