Hi, Ninfa.
I have no idea about Mexican insects, but this nice creature looks a bit like some Clearwing moth (Sesiidae) that can be found in Europe. Maybe this will help.
As for the photo, pity that you couldn't get closer and take better shot with more details. I hope you will have another ocassion cause this is real beauty.

What a exotic insect!
No ideia what it could be!
But I agree with Monika when she writes that it looks lika a mothe that belongs to the Sesiidae family.
