The information on the snowy Egret I've posted on the same bird, whose photo was taken at the same time:

Snowy Egret

A dainty bird about 2 feet long and with a wing span of over 3 feet, it has a black beak, and yellow feet, the famed "golden slippers"! It was nearly hunted to extinction as its breeding plumage, seen in this photo, was in such great demand for hats during the 19th and early 20th centuries, in all of North America and Europe. It eats fishes, frogs, lizards, snakes, and aquatic insects, and is often seen standing in shallow water, stirring the bottom mud with one foot to bring prey into sight. This species also nests in Parque Juarez with the Great Egret and the most populous Cattle Egret.

Photo: I guess my camera speed wasn't fast enough to catch him in flight clearly, but it does give a look at the size of his wingspan better!

Cropped, cloned out plastic cup in background, Levels, Resized, Sharpened.
