I am horrifiied that Hurricane Emily is headed towards the "Mayan Riviera". I have been there five times and love the place and the people. I can imagine it might look something like this now as they look seaward.

The Mexicans will survive this and hopefully it won't do too much damage. I'm planning on returning there this October but hurricanes can have a devastating impact. This one seem so be losing a bit of strength and is due to hit Tulum, about 36 miles south of Playa del Carmen where the huge resorts are.

The Mexican people are very hardy and will recover from this hurricane, hopefully with a minimum amount of damage. The building I stayed in has thatched roofs. At least they are cheap and easy to replace!

Hi Thomas,
A nice seascape of an approaching storm. Only thing detracting is you need to get your horizion level. I was headed to Cancun today, but had to cancel. Now headed to the Bahamas for a week.
