[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Black-eyed Susan, Rudbeckia hirta, Compositae family, found throughout North America, a common plant of prairies, open woodlands and old fields. A native species, it's tough enough to slug it out with Eurasion weeds, and is possibly our most common native wildflower. There have been many garden cultivars developed from this wild form, but I like the wild ones the best.

Even though it's a very common plant, it's a favorite of mine. When growing en masse, it can be spectacular.

These were photographed in the Bartel Grassland.

Hi John,
Apologies for not being around been pretty busy at work lately, I like this shot a lot simple but effective, wonderful colours, I might have stopped down to F4-5.6 to single out the centre flower a little more and narrow out the d.o.f just to draw your attention in a little more to the subject, other then that really nice work, all the best Cheers Rick :)
