[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Canada Goose, Branta canadensis, native to North America. This large Goose has spread to northern Europe, as well as eastern Siberia, eastern China, and throughout Japan, according to Wikipedia. They have also been purposely introduced in some parts of Europe.

In many parts of the United States, these birds have adapted to the presence of humans to the point of becoming a nuisance. Fishing ponds and golf course water holes are sometimes taken over by these beautiful birds, resulting in problems from their droppings, along with them eating cultivated plants to the point of being a nuisance.

They also cause problems at some swimming beaches, as the coliform bacteria in their droppings can cause water pollution to the point that swimming has to be prohibited.

Due to excessive hunting and loss of habitat in the 19th and early 20th centuries, this species dwindled to very low numbers, and one sub-species was thought to be extinct until being rediscovered in the 1950's, but they have responded to protection and controlling hunting by becoming the most common species of waterfowl in North America.

This bird was sitting on its nest and posed nicely. I used my 170-500mm zoom at the full 500mm focal length so that I didn't have to get too close to it, as I didn't want to scare it off of its nest.

c'est un joli portrait de cette oie,même si elle est de dos j'aime son attitude.je pense malgré tout que vous auriez pu donner un peu de contraste.
