This is one of the more common birds I found during my stay here. I guess it belongs to the Myna family. I hope many of you can help me with the id.

Hello Sangeeta,
There are numerous sub-species of Starlings all over the world, if this bird you shot in Iowa belongs to that genus.
Only an expert on US birds can help you with the ID.
The picture shows the subject at mid distance and thus places it in relation to the clearly recorded surroundings such as the fence it is sitting on and the trees and houses across the street.

Hi SAN, Looks like the family of Myna. As Ram sir said the subject is far off and can not be seen in detail. But the sorroundings look better. Also happy to note from the sorroundings that you are not in the flooded area. Have a safe flight back home. Ganesh
