Hi Kathy,
I love viewing photos of eagles and yours is really interesting, because it shows the eagle carrying branches in which to build it's nest. It must have been an exciting moment when you downloaded and saw the wonderful moment you captured! TFS

Hi Kathy,
it sure is always a welcome sight to see an eagle in flight photo and this one has a difference to it I like and that is of course seeing those twigs in it's talons.Eagle nests are amazing things to behold and they can get to be big enough that if you could get inside it,you would have a hard time looking over the edge of it to see out from it.I hope you can get a handle on just where that nest is located because it sure would be great to get photos of a developing family of them.I know the whereabouts of two nests and most likely they will be in use again this year as well. The photo looks good overall and the only thing that would make it better would be if you could of been closer to the action, not this time perhaps but I think you will eventually.A wonderful photo you have shared with us today and thank you. Bob

Hello Kathy, what a capture, I would be so thrilled to witness something like that, WOW! The twigs seem to be in order to build a nest, yes! I also like the light and the bird seems so fast. A great shot, Kathy, you every new day you surprise me with your finds. ANd are you moving in Iowa or still in Washington state? Bye bye !

Hey, Kathy,
how're you? I am back : ) An excellent photo of speed and great details. but guess what I like most? the title! haha, Seabird loves flying free. And "Flying Free" by Don Besig is my most favourite song : ) It's a song I learned from school choir when I was 13. I still sing it from time to time : )
take care!

Flying Free
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kd7Xo-tNQh8&feature=related
There is a place I call my own
Where I can stand by the sea,
And look beyond the things I've known ,
And dream that I might be free.
Like the bird above the trees
Gliding gently on the breeze,
I wish that all my life I'd be
Without a care and flying free!
But life is not a distant sky
Without a cloud, without rain.
And I can never hope that I
Can travel on without pain
Time goes swiftly on its way,
All too soon we've lost today.
I cannot wait for skies of blue
Or dream so long that life is through.
So life's a song that I must sing,
A gift of love I must share .
And when I see the joy it brings,
My spirits soar through the air.
Like that bird up in the sky ,
Life has taught me how to fly.
For now I know what I can be
And now my heart is flying free!
