No sólo en la mariposa incluyendo su trompa enrollada perfectamente visible, sino también por el colorido y belleza de las flores que la sostienen.
Excelente encuadre, perfecto DOF y trasfondo y una iluminación intimista que brinda un efecto muy agradable.

Not only in the butterfly including their wound trumpet perfectly visible, but also for the coloring and beauty of the flowers that sustain it.
Excellent framing, perfect DOF and background and an intimate lighting that offers a very pleasant effect.

Scott,
It's amazing how far you've come in the way of composition. You are strict on yourself and try not to use Photoshop much. You compose it in-camera pretty much, nowdays. I think that's great and I admire that. I need to learn to do more of that. Your even patient enough to "wait for the light" to be just right! I enjoy this composition, I wouldn't crop it because the red/green/yellow actually makes this photo more colorful than the usual butterfly/green BG. The THREE colors make it very appealing to the eye. My eye roves around the image and then back to the butterfly. It allows me to focus back on the butterfly but also gives me something else to "wander" to. Great job, I wouldn't crop it.

Very clever title for this beautiful capture.
I love the pose of the butterfly, the sharp details, and the rich colors, all presented in a gorgeous light.

Wooooow ! Lovely Sulfur is this great close-up. Light, colors, sharpness and DOF are excellent !!! Super contrast butterfly / dark background. The details are perfect on the insect.

Hi Scott,
Great choise of title for this beautiful shot. I like the crop as it is, because it shows me also the habitat of the b'fly and gives a better idea of what kind of flower this is. The lighting is great and I am glad you didn't use the flash, because now everything feels much softer.
I hope you don't mind, but I did a WS on your photo just to get better skilled with a new technique I learned.

This is an amazing capture by its composition and details. Have you seen this tongue, wow!(is a butterfly has a tongue, I'm not sure I have the right word here...:-) Details on the wings are very crisp and I like this POV, DOF and lightning. This is very well done. BTW, I would be curious to see a tighter crop (just for fun) but overall these red flowers on the top are beautiful too. TSF,
