The marble spider wasn't even the size of the mantis's head .. it didn't have a chance !!!!

I cropped this down from the master photo .. I like the natural box shape the mantis legs and head made.

This is a great action catch Scott! I'll say like you, this spider didn't have a chance, this Mantis looks so huge! Details, colors, POV and composition are very nice. I always think that those insects look like little alien :) Thanks,
