Sea Eagle

Interesting how some birds are more accessible than others. The adjacent enclosure at the Cincinnati zoo has a bald eagle that I have never seen with any degree of clarity. The two Steller's sea eagles on the other hand in this aerie don't seem to mind the human company. This is a big bird, one of the largest eagles. More information can be found here.
PP blurred the background to reduce the visibility of the enclosure. Levels, USM. |

Hello Greg
You can clearly see the resemblances to the bald eagle and African fish eagle.Very nicely captured ,with good sharp detail. The colours are well saturated.Well done.TFS

Hi Greg,
Good compo. Pity you have to cope a bit with undereposure in the shadows(the dark plumage area).
Overall well done

Hello Greg,
One of my favorite raptors. For the circumstances a photo with very good details and POV. I like the typical posture of this magnificant bird.
Regards,
Peter

Beautiful , natural looking shot . Having had close experience with captive eagles , I know how shy Bald Eagles can be . I've found that , when any species of eagle get to know you , they remember , even years later . If you take the time , a Bald Eagle will sometimes adopt you as a friend . Hope this helps you get this guys cousins next door , TFS , Kevin .
