Hi Greg,
This is a great landscape!
It has a mystic atmosphere due to the illumination.
I like so much the backlight, ans the effect on that lot of points everywhere.
It's a very good composition, well balanced.

This are the most difficult pictures for taking through the backlight, you did this wonderful, I like this type of compositions, I can enjoy from this picture.

Indeed it is a lovely scene and typically one that I have not seen since my childhood days. Those years I still lived inland at higher altitudes where we sometimes would see a bit of snow falling down which would turn the countryside into a similar spectacle.

I like your composition with the trees sloping down in size across the frame. The thousands of little points of light have a wonderful visual effect. The colours and details are great and so is the amazing result of the well controlled exposure after you had to deal with the very difficult backlight conditions. The only small nit is probably due to the compression and difficulty in scaling down in size, but on my monitor there is quite a bit of pixelisation that became visible in the open sky area at the top right hand corner.

Hi Greg,
The last ice storm missed us but hit your area pretty hard. It creates such destruction and beauty at the same time. Great winter landscape scene. You have caught the backlighting just right. The sunlight highlights the ice like crystal!
