| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I went for a walk along the creek the other day and came across what I believe is a Golden Ragwort. It is a fairly small flower that grows in clusters.
I spotted it from a long ways off because of it's bright yellow color, which was such a contrast to it's surroundings. It was growing along the creek bank adjacent to a field, that had been planted in hog corn last year.
It was a little windy and I didn't have a tripod, so I had to brace the camera against my knee for a shot whenever the wind would die down.
I now realize I should have used a different f-Stop to gain greater DOF.
I will post a shot of it as a cluster in the workshop. |

Hi Ron,
Well composed and good color tone!
I like the perspective between the front and bg as well as soft color contrast.
Anyway, I tried a workshop to emphasize the contrast a little.
Yet, it may be different image as I haven't seen this flower actually, sorry. And I hope that you don't mind.
Regards,
mikio
Hi Ron,
An excellent close-up, excellent composition, good sharpness and exposure, a real beauty of a shot!
Thanks,
John
Good shot Ron...I see it is the Canon..for a minute I thought Nikon...this image is about what i might expect under similar situations...and sometimes there is a big difference in Nikon and Canons...but the Rebel is a different beast than its larger (priced) brothers...Very nicely done!

Hi Ron,
Your macro shows the lovely detail in this flower. The BG frames this nicely, with the beautiful green shades. Nicely done.

Hi Ron,
How pretty. This flower resembles some I see in the Sonoran Desert. Wonderful shades of yellow and fine details. Looks great against the green background. I love the centered composition.
