Mama is keeping a watchful eye out for intruders as papa is teaching the little ones what to eat, and what not to eat.
This family of Canada Geese were having a picnic along the shoreline of the Magee Marsh. It was interesting to see how the parents would let their chicks go only so far on their own, before they came to investigate and protect.
The chicks seem to grow almost overnight. In just a few short weeks these little guys will lose all their fuzzy down, and start putting on feathers similar to their parents. |

The image might have looked just fine without the yellow flora, but it came along at the right time to add icing to the cake Ron! Nice cropping...and overall a good emotional pull to it..Us'n parents and grandpas know about all that eh?
