Hello Ron,
a good shot from this fungi, personally I had take away the brownish branches for egally green colours.
But further a very good fungi shot.

Hallo Ron
I wonder where are they hiding this time? I mean the fairies and the elves. I cannot see them behind this foursome. This is so beautiful. I would love to see a scene like this for real. We just have the plain white or off-white ones in our area. The texture on the large mushroom's inside is photographed very well and displays beautifully, and the baby one almost looks unreal. Thanks for sharing this lovely image where I can even see a tiny spec of purple hidden in between the grass. When I look at this image the word "protection" comes to mind.
Best regards
Anna
Hi Ron,
Nicely done, you found a perfect arrangement of mushrooms, couldn't ask for better. Nice sharpness and I think I like the natural light shot just a touch more, but they're both fine.

Hi Ron,
Not only is this a wonderful macro but it is fascinating to see. I almost missed the little one - I was so busy looking at the two pushing against the cap. Marvelous colors and details and the grassy setting is lovely. Personally, I prefer this one with the flash.

Hi Ron
An excellent shot, personally I like the fill-flash version, you've contralled teh amount of flash perfectly IMO.
Stunning composition, great sharpness and DOF. Very nice bronzey caps, a really beautiful fingi.

Ron,
The image that comes to mind is a mother and her children in a posture of protection. Well done!

Hi Ron,
Difficult indeed to choose between the 2 shots:
The flash-in brought whiter white and sharper details. Yet the shadows that is created is less lovely.
There are ways:
A proper tripod, as 1/3 is very slow.
Use of a diffuser (like a vertical bed sheet at mid distance between flash and musroom, with the camera just in front of the bed sheet)
Funny indeed to look at how they are pushing upward. I love this shot.

Hello Ron.
Great composition with those four mushrooms. Concerning your interrogation, I confirm you that I prefer the shot without flash : the colors as well as the contrast seems me more natural and the sharpness seems me also to be better.
Thank you for the sharing.
All the best.
Philippe.
Hello Ron.
Curious and well presented picture. Great F number.
I prefer the one with flash off.
Greetings and TFS.

I feel that much of the detail is washed out with the fill flash as this is an entloma I would have expected to see pink gills or dark coloured gills. These have been washed out to white with the fill flash.
