[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a closeup view of what I believe is some type of Wolf Spider. This particular spider was about the size of a fifty cent piece and was in my wood pile.

I'm just thankful that these guys don't grow to be the size of elephants!

I will post a full size view in the workshop.

Hello Ron,
A superb high quality close macro showing fine details of the central parts of this Wolf Spider. The dorsal POV and mixed BG of bark and fungal gills add interest.
The WS image is excellent and is at least as valuable as the main image.
Thanks and have a good week,
Ivan

Hello Ron !
First, I wanted to thank you for your kind words on my pictures. Then I wanted to say how ugly this last picture of yours looks to me - ugly, because I am afraid of spiders, and when I see one so close and so big as here, it is kind of a nightmare for me ! :-) But the quality of the picture is exceptional, every little detail is pin sharp (even the tiny tiny hairs), the tight composition works very well, the colors are natural, the POV is great. Vey well done !
Valérie.

You can even see all of its eyes! Wonderful!

Hi Ron,

An excellent close-up of this beast. Nice detail in the hairs and eyes, especially.

They live in holes in the ground, and when I was a kid, we used to try to tease them up out of their holes by sticking a stem of grass down the hole, and I always jumped 3 feet in the air when the spider came storming out to see what was annoying it.
