[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A pair of white-tailed deer stand n a meadow on a late afternoon in early autumn. The expression and attitude, if one may call them that, seem more than a little inquisitive on their part. They did not flee at all and departed at their leisure as I was trying some other shots of them. But I liked this one best.

The setting is near a woodland, where they headed back after foraging about for some snacks. Specifically, the place is Plamann Park, one of the prettier, wilder spots in our county.

The sight was a surprise -- photo opportunities are what happen when you're doing something else :)-- and despite some work with the camera settings the outcome was still somewhat soft. PP to address that included the ISO Noise Reduction plug-in for The Gimp and some pre- and post-USM. I avoided levels because the lighting is, I think, authentic given the time of day and nearby shade.

Under the circumstances you ended up okay Jim. Appleton..Send me some fresh unpasteurized cider please:-) The noise reduction took care of some problems...nothing much one can do with what they have at their side. I never go anywhere without a camera. I even have a wide angle Leica in my pocket in case I forget the right lens. Good makeup though!

Tones of colors and moment caught are very interesting. I like to see those two looking at you. It is a pity that you couldn't use a fast shutter speed because the image is blurred a bit but I think it still worth showing their beautiful faces and nice environment :) Thanks,
Claudine
