A pair of sandhill cranes spotted last night on the edge of Trout Pond at the Bubolz Nature Preserve.
This is only the second time I've seen them there -- the first was a couple of years ago at the very beginning of May.
As was the case then, this was a long, maximum-zoom shot across a pond. I applied USM before cropping and resizing, and then once again afterward. No other PP, and no enlargement -- this is a 100% slice from the image. |

An unusual catch in photo! I like the composition of the way they are "trying" to hide among the reeds. Very well done. And from the land of 10K lakes as well. You do it service.
