| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I saw this wildflower growing amongst the dunes on the shores of Lake Michigan in late September. It's an interesting species, and one that I've not seen elsewhere.
The shot was taken late morning, with a macro focus, on a moderately overcast day -- partly cloudy, intermittent sprinkles. My goal was to capture its symmetry, context, and provide a multi-dimensional perspective.
Thanks to Jose Rodriguez for his workshop and the suggestion that this may be part of the Xanthium family and his links for more information, including an image of his own, at Common Cocklebur and more botanical details at A Simpler Way |

Hi Jim,
I think I can help with the id of this seeds. If it in not a ripe Xanthium strumarium it should be from the same family!
I have made a workshop for you. I hope you like it :-)
