| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Strickers pond in Middleton is a favourite overnight rest area for migrating waterfowl. It is not unusual to see the lake teeming with Mallards, Canada Goose, Blue winged teal and Great Blue Herons during the early hours of the morning. However within an hour of sunrise most of the birds take to the air to continue on their migratory path.
The morning this picture was taken was no diferent, most of the birds had taken to the air and this pair were some of the few that were still on the pond.
May be they are squabling about which directions to fly in. I wonder if one is screaming to the other ' why don't you just ask for directions?' :-) |
