Jim,
Absolutely beautiful sunset you've captured. Excellent clarity, wonderful colours, composed nicely.
The lighting is just perfect, a minute later and you would have missed this gorgeous shot. The large bird perched in the tree is just icing on the cake.

Jim,
This is a beautiful winter landscape with rich tone sunset colors. Good sharpness on the silhouette of the trees and the snow foreground being less bright in the shades create a perfect setting. Good composition with the sun barely visible behind the trees. Great job. TSF

I like the effect of the delightful light behind the skeletal trees. It looks like a "chinese theatre". You were at the right place at the right moment and took full advantage of that.

The colours of this scene are amazing, and as you say your timing was just right. The combination of mauve, yellow, orange and pink is a perfect match and is displayed well in the sky. Pleasant to the eye, yet a simple composition. An image that is working very well, reflecting the change over from day to night time, and creates a very relax atmosphere. Thanks for sharing.

Awfully hard to catch the sun like that...takes the eye...and good luck in timing and hopefully tech camera records as well as expected, which it did here...Neat Jim...I can feel spring coming soon however we are having a few days of "cooling off"...nothing to worry about but in 3 days you may also have a reverse Indian Summer. My wife and I could not come up with a correct analogy:-) Great image.
