| The 1,000 Islands Nature Preserve is indeed a place where nature is well-preserved. This quiet spot beside the Fox River puts on all the spectacle of autumn. A favorite spot of everything from deer to dragonflies, eagles to chipmunks, and a great deal in between. |

Yes is sure looks like the "back east" I remember. There is a great Native American history rich in these places...Sometimes I see visions of their great grandfathers, still carving canoes from bark and paddling swiftly downstream. Your images bring out emotions. An important quality some forget or do not see....

We have a place called the same here Jim! Tones of colors are very characteristic of this beautiful season that autumn is. I like this natural exposure. I might have tried to avoid those branches in the up right corner which I find a little distractive ;) Well seen with interesting notes about his place. Thanks,
