[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
For snowbound, blizzard-beset Bob Shannon, who's thinking spring and looking longingly toward the first signs of it, like many of us. A counterpoint to my sledding posts on TE and TN today. We look forward to the days when we can shed our jackets and shelve our shovels.

These, I believe, are the blossoms of wild cherries, and probably the black cherry, Prunus serotina, at that. Though usually a small tree, they can grow up to 80 feet tall. The white-tailed deer that roam the local nature center where this shot was taken are fond of the mature berries.

Hi Jim,
Lovely photo of these beautiful cherry blossoms. I really like the composition here, with the blossoms positioned towards the lower right-hand corner of the photo. The flowers stand out well from their natural background. Great colours, depth, textures and details. Well captured!

Hello Jim,
Very pleasing sight of this white flowers in vivid details of the stamens. The depth of field is very well managed eliminating all the busyness and the subjects stood out really clear.
Useful reminder in the notes and well worth the wait.

Are you not cute:-) I am stuck here at home...snows have stopped temporarily and the power is back on for now...but it is 2am...I was out trying to shovel..my rig is stuck good and the kids are all busy with their own problems....I love it..thanks so much my friend...Ahh...I can smell spring in the air already!

A lovely capture of these Spring blossoms.The Spring is my favourite time of the year.
This shot make me yearn for the warmer weather,but there is still 8-10 weeks to go here.
Oh well I can enjoy your photo until then.
