[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
As spring continues to arrive here in North East Ohio, the trees are starting to display new growth after a long winters nap.
I took this shot of one of my neighbors pines which is really beginning to sprout. I'm not sure what kind of pine it is, but it drops a lot of pinecones on the ground every fall. I have seen this type of pine growing throughout the state while hiking. They are not a really nice shaped tree, but seem to grow haphazardly and sprout off in many direction.
The tiny new shoots are covered with a pinkish red pollen that I usually end up brushing up against, every time I mow the grass near them.
Lately I have been sneezing my head off, and I think that these might be part of the problem.

Hi Ron,
A fantastic picture!! I love the colors and sharpness. Incredible detail!! Great pov. Also a very interesting and informative note.

that's petty neat Ron. I do remember this as it also happens here in the "Evergreen State". The spruce are fun to watch also. Ours happen from the top down. I wonder if that's what happens back east. Frankly I have forgotten. Not as many pines and firs back there. Washington is covered with them like a giant blanket...very well seen. Have a Blessed Sunday!
Bob

Nice work Ron, I like it..
Complete DOF with very good details, color, and exposed well.
The small newly sprouting pinecones bordered in evergreen look great :)

Hi Ron,

That's a really nice image, nice composition, good color and very sharp. If you're seeing a lot of yellow dust all over everything, it's pine pollen. I've seen it very thick up in NE Minnesota in June when we go fishing. Some people are very allergic to it, so that might be your culprit.

Thanks,
John

What a beautiful shot! Great composition, wonderful color. Good stuff! :)
