Following yesterday posting, here is the small-flowered (parvilflorum) subspecies of the Yellow lady Slipper, with flowers only 4 cm in size, about half the s ze of the large subspecies, also know as ssp pubescence.

Hello ishi,

Nice yellow flower that I did'nt seeb before.
Colours and sharpness are good also the pov.
Personally i should the half left flower crop of the picture.

Hi Ishi, lovely collection of these plants. really good composition and excellent control of light to get so many in sharp detail and focus. Good work!!!.I really like the periwinkles at the background as well.

Wow! I wish we had species like this in the UK! We have one Lady's Slipper species but I think it only grows in one or two tiny patches in the whole of the country. Lovely shot - I think the blue flower in the background is actually Phlox divaricata rather than periwinkle (Vinca). Were there many patches of these orchids around?

Have seen these growing in Ontario in large groups,but sadly they were before my digital days.
