One of my favorite flowers of the Summer months is this little blue bloom, the Chicory. I remember as a boy admiring this particular plant which grew along the roadsides of Ohio.
We would travel to a small lake in Indiana every year for vacation, and this pretty flower helped break up the boredom of the three hour trip. I remember staring out the car window and watching the never ending colorful row of blue flowers as we sped down the highway towards our destination. |

Hi Ron,
Beautiful macro capture of the Chicory flowers!
They both look so soft and pure in colors, with nice natural colors overall. The sharpness and POV are simply wonderful with nicely controlled shallow DOF.
Well done!
thanks and regards,

Hi Ron,
An excellent close-up of this flower, nice soft light and accurate rendering of the blue color.
I like blue an purple flowers a lot, so these are among my favorites too, even if it isn't a native. it's a reasonably well-behaved exotic, so I have no qualms about liking its attractive flowers.
