Flash looks ok to me..good bird with lovely colour.More space on top would be nice.

Hi,

I think the use of flash here worked very well. The pic however seems slightly soft to me and the composition is definitely too tight. A bit more room in front and at the top would have worked IMO.

Hi Chris.
Excellent picture of this beautiful bird. I have never met this species in our places and see them here with pleasure. Pictured scene is amazing. Quality of the shot is great. Only one point is not the best. This is framing and lack of space on the top. It is interesting for me your use of flash and subject distance considering the effective working distance of the in-built or external flash. My compliments and best regards.

Hi Chris,
Lovely portrait of the bird and I love the blues. The crop (if you cropped it) is perhaps a bit tight above the bird's crest, with rather a lot of stump at the bottom. I also feel tht the bright green of the background detracts from the bird itself, so I thought it might benefit from a little workshopping. So you can caompare.Thanks

I really like blue jays and this is an excellent shot of a blue jay.The colours are well saturated and the composition is wonderful.I really like the perch the bird is on ,withthe mushrooms.TFS

Yep blue jays love to make noise for sure, I love hearing them though! I think the flash is good too, it could be a tad sharper and yes, more room up top, but its a good shot for sure, great color and a great POV TFS

BTW on your comment on my photo, the sardines will be for the heron, not me ..eww I don't eat those things .... :o)
