Excellent shot! The finch appears to be sitting on a sunflower throne! The blurred, dull background compliments the colorful flower and bird wonderfully.

Warm welcome to TN!! Lovely first post. LOVE the goldfinch on the sunflower. Do sunflowers bloom in CT in Jan? I thought it would be too cold.
I would have liked more space for the bird to look into. I would have cropped with less of the stalk and more space on the right. The stalk has light spots on it which are distracting. I like the feather detail and the saturation.

This is a very beautiful picture, very sharp and detailed, with natural and vivid colours. I like a lot pose of this bird, together with sunflowers these make a very optimistic composition. On the other hand it is a pitty that the note is very short.
