But a fly, a Hoverfly (AKA Flowerfly) which admittedly is a very good mimick of a Yellowjacket.
On Meadowsweet in Acadia national park, at the "Seewall". Too far from my bases for me to be able to put a name on it. Perhaps some species of Chrysotoxum or Temnostoma ? |

very nice one Philippe,
very good macro, the details are good, the pov is good and dof is nice. Personal I think I had rotate it for 45 degrees. that for a better composition, But I like yours, good job,
gr. Jaap

Hi Philippe,
Well captured, crisp and detailed.
I agree with Jaap with a 45 or even a 180 degree rotation. It is better to have quick eye on contact on the subject.
The whites of the flowers are blown which is distracting.
Excellent work though.
