Hi Matt and welcome to TrekNature,
I love this picture even if it is a bit sad to think of ducks without water. One rarely sees that many little orange feet all a once! I hope none froze to the ice. I often think that if Mallards weren't so plentiful they would be more appreciated for the beautiful birds they are.
Thanks for sharing a nice, sharp well exposed, interesting photograph.

Welcome to treaknature Matt!
You have a great quality for this image because you managed to get the correct exposure here. However... I rather shoot only 1 or 2 ducks (facing same direction for instance) to avoid messy subjects on my frame. In addition, since they are not in natural habitat (I guess), might gives dynanism impact if you get lowered angle shooting (eye level)so that you can acquired blurry background. Want to see more posting from you, I like it and thanks for sharing.
Rgds,
Leo
