[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Still dreaming and yearning for better days...spring...summer...I wish I could crawl inside this image...or I wish I was the butterfly in this image. :0) This is an Eastern Tiger Swallowtail and there isn't much more I can say about this lep that I haven't already written in a previous image I posted some months ago. They are big, bold, plentiful, and beautiful and all my summer dreams for the past 50 years have always included this giant that flutters with slow deliberate grace through the gardens and over the treetops. It is as much a part of summer as lawnmowers buzzing in the background and sprinklers shooting water in a hypnotic rhythm. And as you lightly swing in your hammock drifting off for an afternoon snooze, a soft breeze caresses your face...or was it the kiss of the Tiger Swallowtail's wings?

Beuatiful capture, Lesley. The flower and the butterfly are both extremely sharp! Well done!

So all the big butterflies don't live in Texas!

A beauttiful image, great combination of colours and the OOF background is nice also. the US certainly has its share of wonders and you illustrate them delightfully, well done.

As spring slowly creeps up on you so does autumn here. Our turn to get some cold and bad light.

It's a beauty! Everything falls nneatly in place to make this an outstanding capture. I could really go on and on about what is nice... Not a nit! Masterpiece.
