[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I just got back today from vacationing at Chautauqua Lake in New York. The weather was not very cooperative this past week, so I didn't have the opportunity to take many pictures. It rained just about every day which allowed me very limited time to do things outside. I spent most of that time playing with my Grandchildren and just relaxing.

I took this photo of a toad on a very wet day just after a hard downpour. The woods was really dark so I used a 6 second shutter speed to get this shot which surprisingly turned out fairly clear.

Hi Ron,

This shot turned out very nicely, guess you had a cooperative model. I like the soft light. Good sharpness, the long exposure worked perfectly. All in all, a very attractive image.

I believe that Fowler's Toads, Bufo fowleri, are common in Ohio, but from what I can see, yours is a Bufo americanus, American Toad. I love their call, my favorite frog-call, a beautiful, drawn-out almost bird-like trill. When I hear them calling in the marsh across the street from my house, I know that Winter is truly done.

Wonderful picture with excellent colors and lighting. Good detail and exposition.
Well done
Nilson

It blends in quite well with its surroundings. I am surprised your clear eye caught it...I had two cataract surgeries and can now see without glasses...This happened in 1006....so I ca see...its just the getting there that hurts:-) Fine image Sir Ron!
