| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| This digiscoped image of an American goldfinch in his "summer uniform" was taken with a Nikon Coolpix 5600 camera through a Nikon spotting scope. Image was intentionally underexposed by-1/3 stop. This sometimes prevents washed our areas in high-contrast situations and often results in slightly sharper images, which is sometimes a problem with digiscoping. |

Hello Gary,
Beautiful photo in splendid colours and very good sharpness. For a better composition I should have cropped a piece from the left and give more space to the right, the direction the bird is looking at.
Regards,
Peter

Hi Gary. This is a excelent close up of the Goldfinch. It is very different from ours in England. Yours has a nive yellow colour with the black wings. The pose on the end of the stik is first class. it stands out so well fromm the plain BG. well done TFS.
Nick..
Hallo Gary
I am amazed about the bright and intense colour of this bird. You managed to capture it in a beautiful pose with good clarity and details. A very impressive image of this vividly and strong coloured bird. The colour of the plumage is very intense and creates the feeling of joy and cheerfulness. I like the black patch on the front its head. Focus, sharpness and clarity is great. Thanks for sharing this lovely bird.
Kind regards
Anna
Hi Gary,
Very sharp capture. Brilliant colours. Perhaps, a little tighter cropping on left and little more free space on right would have looked better. But then, liking differs from person to person. TFS.
