[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I found this Chinese Mantis (Tenodera sinensis) crossing my path on our downtown unniversity campus. It was a rather cool evening, so I had all the time in the world to get my camera ready. As the name implies, this species is introduced to North America and it now much more common than the native species.

This is something that I always wanted to photograph. Even with the noise on background, this is nice one.

Hi Claus,

Well captured this yellow mantis!
It focuses on the mantis and clear is very good. And, mantis's shadow's being projected to ground draws out a good effect in the entire image, I think. If I say the desire a little technically, it's better to remove the noise of the background and crop the bottom part a little.

Regards,
mikio

Great shot Claus!!
Love the low POV and very fine detail you managed to capture. I'm sure you must have been lying on your stomach to get this really cool photo!! Great work!!
