[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It has been a very rainy, dark, and dismal autumn here, for the most part, and unseasonably cold quite often. I wonder sometimes where the sun went. Even the fallen leaves look diseased with molds, mildew, other fungus, and quite a few insect galls. Still there is a bizarre, if unsettling, beauty.

"Never forget to look for blessings - even the smallest of joys can brighten the worst of days." - Author Unknown

Taken hand-held, auto everything, slightly extended 12X zoom lens (which I find works better than the macro setting to achieve what I am trying to capture). Some PP work, including gamma reduction, compensation for over saturation, contrast adjustment, highlight/shadow adjustment, and some sharpening.

Nobody can make forest floor litter look lovelier than you could Larry, thanks for this sharp and surprisingly colourful and pretty image MF.
Cheers,
Mehmet

Dear Larry!

Every season has its own deep thoughts. In autumn we tend to think at the ephemeral aspect of life, and your picture reflects this in a very beautiful manner. You are right that there's beauty in these rotten leaves. It just depends how you look at them...

Kind regards

Markus

Yes, and your shot aptly portrasys your feelings!

Hi Larry. As you say in your notes even the leaves look dull and covered with mold. But as you also say we must lok for the good side. Which can be somtimes hard to see. This is a very natural picture taken with good deatil and natural colours. Well taken TFS.
Nick..

There must certainly be a reason for it Larry. I and many others locally have complained of such in Cheney as well...I went an extra mile just to find mediocre colour, as can be seen in my photo today...just nothing...morte'...to everything there is a season and I'm not sure what to call this one but you imaged it much better than I could have!
Bob

Super image Larry,
The detail and colors are exceptional!!! I feel as though I could reach into your photo and actually feel the textures of the leaves. Very nice!!
