Blue Banded Surgeonfish
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Micronesia is one of the best places to dive in the world. The marine live is abundant and varied. It gave me the opportunity to combine two of my favorite things: diving and photography. This blue banded surgeonfish was resting in the reef top as I was coming in off a dive. due to the surge from the water running off the top of the reef, I was having to hold onto the exit rope with one hand and hold the camera with the other.
For those of you with an Olympus C-4040Z (and some of the other C models) Olympus makes very afordable and useful underwater housings. I was using the P-10 for this picture.
The picture was cropped, color balanced to remove some of the blue, and sharpened using USM at 400/0.3/0. |
