Yellowtail Snapper
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This shot was taken at Coki beach, a heaven for snorkelers that like to feed fish (bring your own bread or buy it on site - but beware of the yellowtail snapper, as it can bite your finger by mistake).
The yellowtail snapper, Ocyurus chrysurus, is an abundant species of snapper found along the North American coast of the Atlantic Ocean. Although they have been found as far north as Massachusetts, their normal range is along Florida down through the West Indies and Brazil.
In certain reefs, most notably in the Florida Keys, this beautifully colored fish is commonly spotted among divers and snorkelers. The yellow tailed snapper is also a popular and abundant game fish that makes excellent table fare. Yellowtail feed on shrimp, crabs, worms and smaller fish. They spawn in groups off the edge of reefs from spring to fall, but heavily in midsummer.

Hi Alfredo,
I see you have some incredible underwater shots. As something which I have never tried or do not have the equipment to, it is really something to get fascinated by. Great shots with lovely colours and details, all of them. Keep them coming, it will definitely be a feast for my eyes.
This shot is a wonderful shot too. Fabulous colours, lighting and POV. Superb composition. Kudos.
TFS.

les poissons sont des sujetts peu presents sur le site car difficile de les photographier.c'est une bonne image bien qu'il y ai du bruit dans le bleu de l'eau.

very nice underwater shot with great colors!

Olá Alfredo.
Sensacional registro!
Um belo peixe em primeiro plano, e os outros membros do cardume compondo o rico BG.
Cores suaves e belas, proporcionando um visual bastante agradável.
Parabéns!
José Roberto
Hello Alfredo,
This is a very colorful shot from you with a nice composition! I like the way you placed the fish in the foreground along the lower third of the picture leaving the space above to show the other fishes in the background. The visibility in the water nicely decreases with the distance from the camera. You controlled the underwater light very well. Thank you!
With Friendly Regards,
Eddie
